Stick-to-it-ness: That’s the word you think of when you experience these young men. Their classic, powerful and  flawless guitar riffs and body wiggling rhythms, can be  described as rejuvenating, refreshing and as Skip Jones put it, "very,very impressive"....."These fellas are playing music that is no where near the style that most people their age are playing or listening to, they're playing the music they have a love for". Which by the way, was all recorded way before any of these guys were even born.

They are doing their part of keeping a tradition of blues music alive and strong. They are strongly influenced by Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Led Zeppelin and the three kings of the blues, Freddy, Albert and B.B.

Murtin Smurl is currently the house band at Rick's Pub at 20 Hwy 99 (formally known as Royals Other Place) and can be seen every Wednesday  from 9pm to 1am. Skip Jones has been known to sit in with these fellas as well as harmonica player Willie Gibboney.
